In Scotland, the Key Information Summary (KIS) software allows clinical information from the medical record to be shared across the wider NHS, in particular, the out of hours GP service and hospitals.
In the situation that we are facing with the Covid19 pandemic, it would be extremely beneficial for us to be proactively sharing as much information as possible from patients in groups who are eligible for the flu vaccination across the wider system to help clinicians who do not necessarily know these patients to make decisions about their care, should they present.
